Interactive Color Exploration with Sherwin-Williams.

International Market Centers’ (IMC) Fall 2022 DesignOnHPMKT by IMC programming is the ultimate business-building resource with some 22 webinars, seminars, tours and events before and during the October 22-26, 2022 market. Expanded trend identification presented in partnership with Sherwin-Williams and new lighting-focused education augment IMC’s signature seminar series which also explores business coaching, hiring, design inspiration and more in 14 CEU-eligible sessions.

“Through our DesignOnHPMKT by IMC programming, we provide the industry an invaluable guide for new ideas prior to and during market,” said Dorothy Belshaw, IMC executive vice president, chief customer and marketing officer. “The expansion of our proprietary trend programming – including the multi-faceted TrendWatch and Suite Spot tours – with new Sherwin-Williams color exploration and a new educational track focused on lighting, offers even more resources for buyers exploring product innovations in our 17 High Point properties.”

Paint brand Sherwin-Williams uses IMC’s High Point Market to amplify its color education this Fall through a series of three webinars and seminars plus the creation of a Designer Lounge and branded exhibit space in the Suites at Market Square (SAMS).

Sherwin-Williams kicks off its High Point presence with a free, one-hour webinar “Evolving Color,” on Thursday, October 13, at 1 p.m. EDT. The online session is an exclusive presentation that goes behind the scenes of the color trend selection process with Sherwin-Williams Director of Color Marketing and color expert Sue Wadden. Advance registration is required (1 CEU).

At Market, Sherwin-Williams offers two seminars. Sue Wadden presents “Sherwin-Williams 2023 Colormix® Forecast 2023: TERRA,” with the inspiration, factual statistics and research that support the 2023 color forecast on Sunday, October 23, at 11 a.m. (1 CEU). In “How Do Cultures Influence Color?” Designer Account Executive and ASID Chapter Support Chair Advisor Shane Jones and Designer Marketing Manager Sabina Jahic discuss how color is perceived across multicultural environments and identify the historical significance of color families on Monday, October 24, at 1 p.m. (1 CEU).

The Sherwin-Williams Designer Lounge and Seminar Space are gathering spaces on the Top floor of the SAMS featuring furnishings in the palette of the TERRA color forecast. Also on the floor is an exhibit space staffed by designer-focused color experts presenting the Colormix® Forecast plus other Sherwin-Williams shades and a showcase of its products and services.

IMC offers attendees multiple experiences to interact with new home furnishings trends through its proprietary TrendWatch program and guided tours.

For Fall 2022, IMC’s TrendWatch explores three new trends via a pre-market webinar and at-market seminar, tour and guide. Home furnishings trend forecaster, creative director and curator Julie Smith Vincenti of Nine Muses Media has identified three themes for the Fall 2022 programming: Entwine is an homage to casual comfort, quiet moments and favorite spaces; Midnight is a showcase of deep and moody hues, earthy neutrals, burnished metals, stone accents and organic shapes; and Modernity is the latest expression of pastels as go-to hues for confident, playful interiors. The official TrendWatch guide with product images will be available on campus as a quick resource guide.

The “TrendWatch: Fall 2022 Webinar” is a fast-paced, image-rich webinar presented by Vincenti to arm buyers with trend information before arrival at High Point Market. The free, one-hour webinar is Wednesday, October 12, at 1:00 p.m. EDT. Advance registration is required (1 CEU).

Smith Vincenti also leads IMC’s at-Market TrendWatch programming. She repeats her pre-Market webinar in-person in “TrendWatch: Fall 2022 - LIVE at Market!” on Saturday, October 22, at noon (1 CEU). She leads a 90-minute tour of themed trend displays at the Suites at Market Square (SAMS), the Showplace Walkway and the International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC) Green Lobby plus multiple points in between. “TrendWatch Tour” is on Monday, October 24, 2:30-4 p.m. (registration required).

New product trends are identified in three one-hour Suite Spot tours through the three-floor at SAMS, the largest collection of temporary exhibits at High Point Market. Guides include international TV personality, writer and designer Glen Peloso on Saturday, October 22, at 2:30 p.m.; architectural designer Christian Daw on Sunday, October 23, at 12:30 p.m.; and business coach and designer Veronica Solomon on Monday, October 24, at 11:30 a.m. Registrations are required.
